So, while on a Pullip message board, I stumbled across pictures of several gorgeous dolls. I immediately fell in love with them, and did some research. Now I'm saving up for my first one. Ball-Jointed Dolls, or BJDs for short, are made of resin and have strung joints, like AGs. The can pose almost as well as humans, though, and have very realistic faces. There are several sizes of BJDs, the largest being around 80cm, or 31 inches. I'm planning on getting one around 60cm, though. The only catch? They're really expensive. (from a AG and Pullip collectors point of view) We're talking $300 average for the 60cm ones. ... Yeah. But anyway, I'm saving up for this girl: She doesn't come with a wig or eyes though, so I'm planning on getting her green eyes and an auburn wig. Her name will be Autumn Blue. I'm also opting to do my own face-up on her. Basically, I'll be adding lip color, eyelashes, blush, and any other eyeshadow/makeup effects I want her to have on her face. I've done so before on Pullips though, so I'm pretty confident. Sorta. Anyway, sorry for rambling, and thank you for reading, if you did.

Wow, she is really pretty! Does she come with her clothes? Haha, just wondering. Could you link to the wig you plan to use, once you decide? I'm curious what sort of hair you want her to have. It sounds like a great project, and I will be interested to hear updates as you buy her, her eyes/wig, and begin work on her. Love your sig, by the way. Caleio is so pretty.

Thanks PuppyLuv. She doesn't come with clothes, but I bought some at a local shop for when I order her. Here's a picture of her wig: She'll be getting deep green/blue eyes.

The red parts in the wig look really cool! I like the sort of scraggy look it has, too. I'm looking forward to seeing how she turns out, and seeing you put her together with her eyes and face paint and stuff, because I would have no idea how to do it.
I'd like to see pics of your custom pullip, if you don't mind. I'm beginning to be more interested in customizing dolls, and I've seen lots of custom AGs but not so many custom pullips. Maybe I don't look in the right places.

There are some albums on my Picasa account (set as my homepage) of my Pullips. Not all of my girls are complete yet though, so they don't have any pictures up.

Thank you, Abbie. I actually ended up getting a different BJD than the one mentioned in the first post. Here's a photo of her. Good luck on getting your BJD! Are there any certain ones you're looking at? Oh- and if you haven't found it already, DenofAngels ( www.denofangels.com/forums/) is a great BJD message board with photos and information .
