OK, so I have (well, Mum has) decided to do the pinafore first, as it is a little easier. The other day we cut out all the pinafore pattern pieces and I am sewing the sash pieces today (I have one seam left!)

I really want to make a pinafore! I might be able to!

I decided to wait on making a pinafore. I have other things I want to make first, like Josefina's Christmas dress (just for fun). I was working on it before, but the gathering began to aggravate me, so I took a break and came on the computer.

Picture of my dress! Alexandra is wearing it. She's modern, but she's in a movie set in the past. This is a "movie poster" sort of thing for the movie.

Ok, so here's what I made for American Girl dolls: Red Polkadot Skirt Pink Shorts Pink Polkadot Shirt Quilted Shrug (almost done with this.) I decided to wait on making a pinafore. I have other things I want to make first, like Josefina's Christmas dress (just for fun). I was working on it before, but the gathering began to aggravate me, so I took a break and came on the computer. Yes that aggravated me too with my skirt. Mod edit to compile the posts.

Thanks!
How is your dress doing, Purples? Libby?
Will there be another sew-along, maybe in the winter, or next summer? This one was fun. I wish more people participated though...

My dress is cut out, but as I said before, my sewing machine is broken and it will be at least a month until they can get the part to fix it. I am so sad . Sure, if you guys want to do another sew-along, we can! Maybe we could do a knit-along or a crochet-along for something different, as well?

I'm sorry purples. A knit-along would be fun! Knitting is harder than sewing for me though, and I can't crochet. I think more peolpe can sew than knit or crochet, but I don't know. How about I make a poll?

Why don't we just wait for awhile- we can start planning and asking later this fall!

Ok. I liked the pattern we chose for this sew along so much that I made another dress with this pattern! It's a blue brocade-ish cloth. I'll post a picture maybe tomorrow! ETA: Here's a picture! Please tell me what you think. Chelsea is modeling it, because this dress is a more Victorian style and she looks a bit like Samantha. I need to add lace still. I'm going to put some silver metallic lace around the cuffs. Ta Da!!! ETA: I love how versitali this pattern is! Its become a favorite. You can easily change the skirt length or add or take off parts to change it! Here's another one I made. I addes a ruffle and took off the neckband, just hemming the neck instead. I really like it! What about you?

Both of your dress came out beautifully, puppyluv! I really like the blue one. And both your dolls look pretty in the dresses.
