This is from the latest Simply AG magazine. Supplies: Two pieces of thin cardboard (both measuring 1” W x 2.5” L, and preferably not more than 1/16” D) Construction paper in your color Glue and Tape A 1" square punch, and a 1" circle punch White printer paper A black pen String Two small chunks of sculpy clay Instructions: Glue the two pieces of cardboard together, long flat side to long flat side. (You should now have a rectangle that is 1” W x 2.5” L, but is around a 1/8" D) Cut a piece of construction paper that is a little bit wider and longer than the cardboard rectangle. Wrap around the rectangle like you wrap a present and tape in place. Punch a square and a circle from the white printer paper. Tape them so that the square is like the screen of the iPod and the circle is the dial. On the ‘screen’, write song names with the pen. On the ‘dial’, write a play symbol, (sideways triangle) a pause symbol (two small lines) and a forward and rewind button (two small triangles pointing left for rewind and right for forward) Cut two pieces of string about 6” long. Tape to the ‘iPod’. Attach flattened small pieces of sculpy to the ends of the string to be the ‘earbuds’.

Nice! I might make one! BTW, I thought that un-cooked sculpey could stain your doll. It doesn't say you should cook the sculpey in the directions.

As long as you use a pale color like white or pink, it's alright. I leave it uncooked so you can stick it to your dolls ears. And so long as you don't leave it on for days.

That's a good idea about the sculpey. But I do get worried about putting clay on my dolls. But I guess it's ok.

^ Nicki wore one earbud for a day or maybe two, and her ears are fine. Adria wore it for a day as well.

It also works to make the ipod body out of colored Sculpey. I did that and left a rectangular whole so I could change the "screens". Also, if you want to bake the earbuds make them like the people sized ones that hook around the back of the ear. A good model for the hook is the "hearing aid" that mytwinn sells

I made an ipod but the clay was red and it stained my doll's ears. I couldn't get it off with baking soda. Does anyone know what else I could use?

Here's an idea for Crystal: Instead of clay use cardboard cover it in paper. draw the signs on the ipod, color the color u want! Try Mr. Clean on her ears!

Good idea! What's Simply AG magazine? It's a magazine I write...I started in when AG stopped putting out the Imagine magazine. You can find out more about it here: mysite.verizon.net/resss9if/simplyagmagazine/index.htmlI made an ipod but the clay was red and it stained my doll's ears. I couldn't get it off with baking soda. Does anyone know what else I could use? Hey Crystal! Darn, sorry to hear that! I would maybe try Mr. Clean Eraser? It works well. Also, use a nude-colored sculpey clay, like I did (I used very pale pink) not a bright one like red or black or any dark colors.
