What Christmas music do your dolls listen to? Willow and I were just talking about this today, about how we don't know what kinds of Christmas music other people listen to.
We almost listen to entirely instrumental Christmas music all season. I put together a huge playlist on my iTunes and we listen to that. But we have ALL of the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas CDs and listen to those constantly, as well as the American Girl Christmas CD from a while back, some harp and bell ensembles, and Eileen Ivers Irish plus a Scottish Christmas CD. The Windmills listen to the Ventures Christmas. The Montoyas have some Spanish guitar music for Silent Night and other songs... And the Merrimans listen to Renaissance Christmas music by Mannheim Steamroller.
Anyway, just curious! :-) Greta

I recently got the AG Christmas CD a couple months ago; it's good And yay, this thread made me get out all my Christmas CDs My dolls listen to most music with words (I-they-love singing along). Both classics and new songs. My dolls listen to the Now Christmas CDs (the first is the best). Susie loves Hilary Duff's Santa Clause Lane CD. The dolls also listen to Manheim Steamroller's Christmas Extrordinaire (it's the only one I have at the moment). Trisha Yearwood's The Sweetest Gift; 98 Degrees Christmas CD, Wendy and Carnie Wilson's Hey Santa cd (I love the song "Hey Santa" from them; it's one of my favorite newer Christmas songs)...Platinum Christmas CD, some Amy Grant cds, The Nutcracker, "...And to All a Good Night" and The Polar Express soundtrack. Oh and Beauty and the Beast The Enchanted Christmas and NSync's Christmas album (I only have it on cassette at the moment). They also listen to wdislikever Christmas music plays on the radio here or on an online station. So there are songs like "12 Things at Christmas That Are Such a Pain to Me," "Where Are You Christmas" from The Grinch soundtrack, "I Want a Hippopautomus for Christmas," etc. Felicity's favorite song (and one of my faves, too) is David Bowie and Bing Crosby's "Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy." Just because she goes back to her roots doesn't mean she doesn't love David Bowie and other modern things, haha. I love a variety of Christmas music except some versions and/or remakes of songs I don't care for; I'll really love one version and not really any others, like "Happy Christmas: War is Over" I only like by John Lennon. Other songs I'll have a favorite version(s) but I still like others too (ex. "Last christmas"-I love the Wham version most but I also like Hilary's Duff's cover of it...my favorite version of "Let It Snow" is Dean Martin's (he's awesome!), etc. I'll have to check out some the CDs you listed. I'd like some more just instrumental ones and ones to fit into the different timeperiods, like the Renaissance CD and one that would work for Samantha's time, etc. since most of what I have is for the modern dolls The historicals like the modern music; they just want more from their periods.

I listen to modern christmas songs, sometimes when I play with my modern dolls or just when I am at the computer, listening to it on my itunes, or when i am just around the house! I have a really great Christmas CD called the Heart of Christmas, classical guitar. It is the most beautiful guitar music! But during the Christmas season, there is classical Christmas music playing around our house! The calmer songs like silent night and angels we have heard on high, those are what the Merrimans listen too! And all my other dolls are happy with any christmas music. sarah

Well my sister and I don't do a lot for Christmas, but we really like The Ukranian Bell Carol. I have a feeling that my Kirsten would like it too.

I LOVE the Mitch Miller Christmas album I remember playing dolls as a little girl in my grandpa's basement while listening to it! And of course, Bing Crosby, and the Glen Miller Orchestra.

I (and my dolls) have a huge playlist of songs- if I hear a song I like, I add it to my "to burn to CD" list, so I have various CDs of Christmas mixes.
My two favourite Christmas singers are Bing Crosby and John Denver.
