What are some good CDs to use for pretending your doll(s) is playing/performing music? So far I only really have the And To All a Good Night cd to use when Marina is playing holiday music on her violin. I'd love to have some other music she could "play" and also some fiddle and guitar music and some piano music since the Samantha I'm getting will probably play the piano (I just have to make a piano or find a small but not-so-expensive one). I don't play any instruments myself except maybe a teensy bit on the recorder, lol, but some of my dolls do, so I'd love some CDs I could use to pretend it's my dolls playing their instruments.
On a similar note, are some of the songs on Nafy and Elizabeth V your own or did they all come from CDs? I love the episode I have; a radio show seems like a neat idea, hehe. Or a news show or something. I've actually been thinking of a couple of youtube videos that'll be some of the dolls making up their own random comercials, like those for CDs or other products. When I was younger one of my friends and I did that and it was so funny-especially when you put a rediculous price on the item ;D

For fiddle and guitar, get a Liz Carroll CD. She is fantastic, we love her music and always pretend it's Kirsten and Mr. Larson playing. For classical violin, get the Tchaikovsky violin concerto. For classical piano, get a CD of Rachmoninov or Brahms piano concertos. Also, any of the Chopin sonatas and waltzes are perfect. :-)
The music on Nafy and Elizabeth V is all from our personal music collection. As in- my huge iTunes library. So that's why we can't use the show as a podcast or sell it as a subscription perk. Because we are using entire songs, so it is distribution for profit of a copyright item. So they are fine as giveaways, but nothing more. :-) Greta

Alasdair Fraser is one of my favorite violin players. Maidens IV is also great.

I agree, Amy! We saw Alisdair Fraser in concert last year and he was awesome. Such a great tone and amazing improvisation. Especially when he's with Natalie Haas, the cellist. she's great, too. :-)

Gothards, That video "the skaters waltz" is amazing! I loooove it!! Do you sell Pumpkins and Candy Canes anymore?? I would love to see it! You girls are so creative! What is that song playing in the backround? I recently watched the Swan Lake and there was a song in there similar to the one in skaters waltz. Wdislikever the song is, I would really like to get it because its so beautiful!

Oh thank y ou!! I am so glad you liked it. We don't have any copies of it left so I can't sell any right now, but I'm actually planning to put up the majority of it on youtube anyway so you can all see it for free. The song is actually called "Skater's Waltz" - I bet you could find it on iTunes. :-) Greta
