I was just thinking about how I found the ourdolls website a year and a half ago. And I was wondering: "How did the other people on the message board find ourdolls?" So I started this thread so people can share how they found ourdolls. I found ourdolls from another doll blog, and she was saying how much she loved the website, so I decided to check it out. Boy, I'm glad I did. It opened up a whole new form of doll play for me. I was simply stunned at the quality and detail put into the town of Pleasantville. Soon, Ourdolls became my obsession, I even got my cousin who likes AG dolls too into the website as well! It wasn't until Dec 30th 2011 when I first listened to NafyCast. I loved the discussions, and the decipher the gossip column cracked me up! I soon learned more, and more about the world of Pleasantville and it's lovely characters. And in July of 2012 I joined the message board, and got to talk to a lot of other fans of ourdolls. So how did you find ourdolls? ~Anna P.S. Love the new website! Great job Greta, Willow and Solana!

I found Our Dolls back when the AG boards were Hostboard. I had just gotten back into collecting, after a hiatus, and Greta was a member there and so I clicked on the link to her site and fell in love with it. That was back in 2005! As a kid, I never really acted out stories or anything with Felicity; I mostly changed her outfits and read the books/magazine/catalogs with her. (Looking back, I have no idea why I never thought to have her and my CPK, Martha, interact). Seeing all of the photos and videos and fun of Pleasantville, I was inspired to start a doll town of my own and make a doll website. Thus Star Valley and Cherished Playtime were born! Years later, I'm still inspired by Pleasantville to do similar activities (and have some similar types of characters) with my dolls. Their 2004 festival was an inspiration for Star Valley's Winter Fest. And around the same time they were thinking up their County Fair, I had been wanting to do a little fair, too-so I came up with Star Valley's Block Party (it was also partly inspired by my school's old Spring fair and the county fair here). Thank you, Greta, Willow and Solana, for all of your doll inspirations!
